Random Things

Last week, one of my favorite blogs, Ali on the Run did a Random Things post. These are fun. So I'm doing one today too. Enjoy. Or at least, please don't roll your eyes.

I love when kids are dressed all wily-nily. For example, a tutu, a sports jersey, polka dot tights, and frog galoshes, on a sunny day is a most excellent oufit.

I hate random graffiti meant only to deface, but I like when it's art like. Side note, I just saw the weirdly fascinating Banksy film, Exit Through the Gift Shop. Have you seen it? What did you think?

 THIS is hilarious: Pinterest Fails

I loathe:
  • when people pick at their nails. It's especially annoying if I can hear it.
  • Gum chewing loudly. Somehow people who would admonish you for not chewing your food with closed mouths think it is okay to loudly chew gum. The sound of it snapping and worse yet, that gooey saliva sound when chewing. Cows. The whole lot of them.
  • It's been very foggy here in Seattle and often you can barely see one block ahead. And yet, people don't have their headlights on. They fail to do this in bad rain too. If your wipers are on, turn your darn lights on too!
If I get particularly good customer service, I say “Can I speak to your manager.” Then tell them how great their employee is. It makes me feel like an adult. Also, I’ve done a little mitzvah.

This makes me laugh. . . and I'm sorry but I can't remember where I found it!
I’ve been eating bananas, nutella, and Mayan fortune cookies in a bowl all week. I call them Mayan fortune cookies because they have no fortune in them.  Bought at Cost Plus World Market. Very healthy.
When I’m down and there’s no more Ellen on the DVR, I switch to onDemand of Too Cute Kittens and Too Cute Puppies and occasionally Must Love Cats.
new ladycat, Cleo, is dainty.
My husband and I are in the market for a new house. It'll be our first home purchase. I'm crazy excited, but mostly I am excited to decorate and design. (Just like a girl, huh?) He's excited to woodwork and futz with the electric. I'm lately obsessed Houzz.com. It's like Pinterest but just for house stuff.
I’m getting sick of Maroon 5.

I could do without Maroon 5 too. And the gum chewing!
